The video is Dolby Vision profile 5, which does not contain a HDR10 compatible layer.
Plex does not have a license to transcode Dolby Vision.
Therefore, when you attempt to play the file on a device that does not support DVp5, playback fails and Plex displays the “Color space not supported” message.
Do Plex have any plan to support the Dolby Vision profile 5 ？？it can be decoded normally on another video system.
Plex supports Dolby Vision profile 5. It will stream and display properly as long as the client and display both support it.
As far as transcoding Dolby Vision, I’ve no idea. Plex never divulges such plans.
