Some files skip on playback

Note that I CAN NOT update to the 1.25 branch because that branch does not buffer video files, and thus videos are unplayable on the 1.25 branch. So no, I won’t update, because it breaks Plex and makes it useless.

Some files skip ahead by a second or two during playback. Nothing will make it play those portions that it skips, whether rewinding, restarting, reloading, etc. The files play fine in VLC.

Have you tried checking if your media files are really error free?
In my experience VLC is really resilient towards all kinds of errors in video files.
Maybe try running ffmpeg’s error filter and look if it detects anything wrong.
