On my 2019 LG TV, my 2016 Vizio smart tv, my samsung note 10 plus, my samsung note 5, my 2018 samsung smart tv and all three of my firesticks show all my libraries on my server but some say no media content found. On my iphone, ipad, mac pro, imac, mini mac all the libraries are visible as well as showing the content.
I have tried deleting the apps and reinstalling, I have cleared the cache. I have force stopped the apps then turned the devices off. Then rebooted my server . Then turned back on all the other devices and reopened plex.
My places on all devices worked fairly normal over the years but since the last 2 or 3 updates my ability to use the software has declined rapidly. I have done nothing to my devices to warrant plex behaviour.
I am so tired of spending hours trying to figure out how to fix issue after issue. Then the questions from all my remote users that are experiencing the same loss of media content only on non apple devices.
So can any one help me out with this issue?
This is the first time i have doubt in my mind that plex is the best software for a media server. I’m hearing more and more about competitor software. I don’t even recommend plex anymore because for most of my friends most of the time it doesn’t work properly. I’m starting to think all this time I’m wasting could be put to better use in researching another application.
Really bummed about plex.
