Some media will not play any longer

Server Version#:Ubuntu 18.04
Player Version#: 1.16.3.1433
When I go to watch some of my movies and shows, they no longer play. They were able to play before I did the upgrade 1.16.3.x However, now, some shows still play and others do not, and I can still play them if I play directly to my laptop or workstations, but not through plex.

Thank you for the logs:

  1. Future Reference: Please leave DEBUG logging on. VERBOSE off. The logs only occupy 26 MB this way and we can still see what we need.

  2. You have more directories than Linux allocates for by default (8192). This is easily taken care of.

  3. Here is the why and how it happens as well as how to easily address it now and in the future as you grow

@Scubatampa I have a similar issue. If you restart plex are you able to play those files again?

Thank you very much. that did the trick. I increased it, probably larger than I needed to, but the only thing running on my Ubuntu server is Plex, so that should be fine. Gives me room to increase over time. :slight_smile:
