Some movies take long time to load?

I am running Synology DS1522+..with plex version 1.29.
Several Roku Ultras, ethernet connected and updated to 12.0.0.
Today had several movies start taking a long time to load ; a good 30 seconds when it usually didn’t..

also several movies started going from DIRECT PLAY to DIRECT STREAM?
There is no buffering, just takes sometime to load.

Given PMS version 1.29.0 is dating back to September last year, it might be worth trying to upgrade your server to see if this has any impact.
Direct stream vs. play shouldn’t have that much of an impact… direct play means the video is streamed as-is while with direct-stream Plex might need to rewrite some of the media container while keeping the raw media tracks untouched (no transcoding).

Understood the version 1.29 is stable… the other version has caused way to many issues.
I was wondering why it takes along time to load… 30 seconds doesn’t seem long , but it is.
UPDATE:
After doing some testing. My VIZO TV does direct play but still loads slow.
The ROKU ultras do DIRECT STREAM and loads slow

UPDATE #2:
I seem to be the only one who is having this issue with both slow loading and DIRECT STREAM.
Other people who I share my media to are watching same movie with DIRECT PLAY and loads fast for them.
