I the last week I have noticed movies are very slow to load when it used to be a few seconds.
Example: Black widows took a full minute to start playing
Other movies take 15 second to 30 seconds
All rokus are ethernet
I have rolled back server…no difference, re-updated
I am running plex server on win7.all updates been done
TV series or MUSIC have no issues, they load fine, only movies
HOWEVER… i installed jellyfin and tested on a handful of movies…BOOM starts playing right away.
Plex on all devices loads fast, able to clock through TV, MOVIES, MUSIc…no issues
Its only when I click PLAY that is where the issues lies, the start playing the movie can take up to 1 minute to start playing…
UPDATE:
I made a test folder on a different drive… put black widow and a handful of other movies there and added to plex library
black widow play within seconds, same with other movies
tried to play black widow a second time; back to 1 full minute to start playing
That tells me a caching issue???
could plex sever software been having issues on the back-end???
