Hi

this morning, a hacker (maybe) has connected to my plex account. and nox my server ha disappear. I’m using a mycloud home drive with plex on it.

has someone have an idea to recover my server?
All my files are still in the disk.
I have relaunched the mycloud, but no more server…

Take a look into your email inbox, please. The spam folder too.

Yes, and I don’t see anything anormal.

I also have to mail from that inform me, someone has connected to my account

  • Device: Plex Website
  • Location: Victoria, English River, Seychelles (estimated)
  • IP address: 168.81.110.126

and

  • Device: Plex
  • Location: Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia (estimated)
  • IP address: 185.174.159.20

that’s the “hacker”

No reports about someone changing your plex.tv account password or the email address?

Can you still access https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/account
Check the email address in there. Is it still your own one?

The adresse is mine.
I have change th password to be quiet.

no report. of others changes.
but i can’t see my server anymore. maybe it’s a mycloud issue?

Your account log shows that the security token of your server was deleted. Which effectively removes it from your account.
Whether it was the cracker who did this or you, when you changed the password I don’t know for certain. (If you ticked the checkbox “Sign out connected devices after password change” then it was you.)

So you need to tell the server to forget its currently used security token and “claim” the server again. The normal procedure for this is here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to do this on the WD MyCloud devices. These do run under Android, where it is much more difficult to reach the necessary configuration files.
I have enquired about this, but have to hear back.

Whaou!! after receiving the avert mail, i have changed my password, et check “Sign out connected devices after password change”.
But, before that, i didn’t see my server.

It will be difficult for me…
I will tell WD if they can do this.

maybe if I delete plex serve from the my cloud and, reinstall, it will be good?

Thanks for the help

I assume yes, but this will probably also delete all your Plex data – meaning “watched” progress or manually edited metadata.

Sure, it will delete all the datas.
But I think, it’s the only way
