Today I noticed an unknown server, (a server which I did not recognize- it had an obscure numerical name) connected to my account; this server was visible in the Locations section/ the drop down menu where I choose between Plex Player and Plex Cloud. I removed it, but it returned by this evening. I have just removed it again, but cannot figure out how it got there/ is getting there. Any ideas?
someone / something has gained access to your plex account. Perhaps snooping your wifi ?
- Delete the device again
- Sign the server out of your Plex account (settings - server - general)
- Go to plex.tv -> My account
- Change your password AND (most important) Disconnect all connected devices
- Start PMS
- Sign it into your account
- Go to Devices and delete everything except your NEW (look at the time last seen) server
- Sign all your devices back in using the new password.
what the above did is generate a new X-Plex-Token and disconnected everything, including your stuff
