I am seeing the message “Something has gone wrong…” a LOT lately. Most of the time if I retry what I was doing right away it works but a few times a day I have had to wait several minutes before I can access the Plex forums again.
Also, from time to time, the parts of Plex that require web access give an error something like “Access not available, try again later.”
When either of the above happen everything else on the web can be accessed and works fine.
Are others seeing this and is there anything I can do to mitigate the problem?
You mean you are seeing this on the forums, or are you seeing it within the Plex Web App?
I’ve seen it since the maintenance work they did on the forums a few times, especially right after they did the work. Refreshing the page usually fixes it.
I haven’t seen it at all in Web App, or parts of Plex that require web access, but that doesn’t mean a lot.
Yes and yes.
I see it in the forums and I see it when accessing my Plex server via http://app.plex.tv/web/app.
It is happening today a lot in both places and it has been happening regularly for the last few days.
I’ve seen it a few times in the past few days, but I believe only in the forums. Can’t swear to that, though.
I never use the http://app.plex.tv/web/app, ever so I never see it there…
I use my NASes DDNS name like this: https://mynasid/myddns:portnum/web and this works every time, without fail. Since the page seems to be pulling from the local device and not relying on something from outside of it.
As I have said, I have seen this on the forums, though. And never saw it before the latest down times we had.

I use the regular web app access most of the time and if it does not work I use http://LocalPlexServerAddress:32400/web/index.html#!/dashboard which probably accesses my Plex server like the address you are using. There is more that one way to skin a mongoose. >:)
Thanks for confirming that something seems to have changed since the latest fiddling around on the server. Some folks just cannot resist fixing things that are not broken. I guess they needed to fix the forums like my pup was “fixed” on his latest vet visit.
