The library used for sonic analysis, Essentia, has worked on freebsd since 2015 ( Add FreeBSD support by tungol · Pull Request #189 · MTG/essentia · GitHub )
and has been packaged in freebsd since 2022( FreshPorts -- audio/essentia: C++ library for audio and music analysis )
which from what i can gather online, were the two major blockers as to why this feature isn’t available on freebsd servers. Could this be revisited?
Unfortunately the plex service isn’t smart enough at the moment to notice the library being available and offering the feature.
