Sonic Analysis only Single Threaded?

I’ve got the Sonic Analysis process running on my Ubuntu 20.04 LTS server with an i3-4360 4-core cpu, and it is moving extremely slowly. I expected the process to be slow given the age of the processor, but the dashboard only shows <50% CPU usage , and htop shows only one CPU core utilized at any given time. I could be wrong, but this seems like an ideal candidate for multi-threading. Is there a reason the task is limited to single-threaded processing?

Maybe I spoke too soon. Checking back a few minutes later, it now seems to be using 2 cores, which is about what I would expect for a background maintenance process.

It will use half of the available cores.

Understood, thanks. I think I was initially only seeing one core utilized because my server was thermal throttling.
