Sony 900h clicking on actor thumbnail does nothing

On the plex app on the tv - clicking on the actors does nothing. I checked it out on my roku stick and I have orange circles around the thumbnails and clicking displays the other movies i have with that actor. (The desired functionality I seek).

Is this a known limitation of the android tv os or do I need to click a button or something?

It is a limitation of the Plex Android TV app. The same thing happens on a Nvidia Shield and Amazon FireTV Stick.

I have not seen any information regarding if/when the capability will be added (Plex rarely mentions product plans).

Daaaamn what a bummer. Can we write to Plex and ask for this enhancement request? I wonder.
