How do you think people will be able to help you?
Pls follow these steps if you want anyone to help you:
I actually cant help you very much as I just joined 1 day ago, but providing Logs should be standard if you expect others to help you.
FYI, 1.5.8.1198 is the current version for users w/o a Plex Pass.
https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/#plex-media-server
I know… thats why I added the exact name…
The official (without Plex Pass) download Link is (for Windows):
https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server-new/1.15.8.1198-eadbcbb45/windows/PlexMediaServer-1.15.8.1198-eadbcbb45-x86.exe
Now as he knows the new Image-Name he can simply replace the strings and download the new version… but pssst
For other OS or whenever he can still get the original Downloadlink for his OS (NAS, Linux, macOS etc) and replace the strings…
so just replace the strings “1.15.8.1198-eadbcbb45” with “1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f”
Makes the new Download Link (for Windows):
https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server-new/1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f/windows/PlexMediaServer-1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f-x86.exe
Hope its ok to post this here, but as its a free/openly accessable Link I think it is, as its not protected by Cookies nor a password. Also why should new Versions be tested at Plex-Pass-Users like test rabbits?
