Sort by resolution when higher resolution file version added doesn't work

Hi,

I have started adding some better quality movies to my library but after a better version is added the sort functionality seems to hang on to the original files values.

For example, if I added “Movie (2017) - 720p.mkv” and later added “Movie (2017) - 2160p.mkv”, when I sort by resolution it will still show up under 720p. I have tried Analyze and Optimize Database without that having an effect. The only way I can get it to work is if I remove the item from the library, do the dance, re-add it to the library with only the highest resolution version of the file and after it brings in all the metadata add then the lower resolution of the file.

I think the attached screen shot explains the problem better than I can describe it. The same problem exists for bitrate.

What is the quickest way to get this to work correctly?

Thanks.

I have seen the same thing, if the original is 4k then it shows up in the 4k section of the sort by resolution sort if its less then its mixed in with that. Windows 10 server with the most recent production version.

This bug still seems to be there even on Linux versions. Is there any working way to sort by resolution or bitrate at the moment?
