Sort downloaded categories + hardware button support

Hi all!

I love using Plexamp, it’s really transformed the way I listen to my music collection (again). I also love how quickly the team is developing new features and listening to users.

I’m currently using Plexamp with a Hiby R5, a dedicated Android dap (yes, that’s still a thing ;-)), and there are two features that would make using Plexamp with this device even better, I feel:

  1. to be able to sort download categories. With this I basically mean, to be able to sort if I want either albums or playlists on top under the ‘downloads’ tab. Now it defaults to albums, but when you have a lot of albums downloaded it becomes a hassle to scroll down to reach the downloaded playlists.
  2. Add support for hardware buttons. This might be a niche use scenario, I know, but at least on the Hiby, all major streaming and music apps already support the players’ hardware buttons.

Interesting, what hardware buttons are these? If nothing else, try mashing on them and then send over Plexamp logs, it might show what buttons we’re currently ignoring.

Hi Elan, thanks for your reply! If I’ve done everything correct, this should be a log from my Hiby player, hopefully this gives you some insights.

hmm, i don’t see anything in there. possibly would need to hook into actual key events :thinking:
