When I sort my movies by Duration from Shortest to Longest, the sort order is messed up with longer movies appearing before the first 1 min movie:
I’ve tried refreshing metadata but this doesn’t fix it. Is there a way to fix?
Thanks in advance.
Your screenshot shows the library sorted by title. Are you sure you’ve picked Duration?
yes - all the movies appearing before mylittlepony (which is out of sequence if I’d posted a title sort) are the ones that shouldn’t be there and are sorted alphabetically, even though most are showing durations below.
Try using the most up-to-date web app. https://app.plex.tv
The one bundled with your server is almost always several releases behind.
Have you tried to toggle the sorting parameter 3 times? i.e. ascending, then descending and back
Does it make a difference?
can’t confirm, sort appears to be working for me.
@Binson_Buzz you might try ‘analyze’, and you might also want to confirm the video(s) are not corrupted (view them in vlc or something).
Nope - the problem’s across all clients.
I’ve tried a few and they play ok - will leave a couple to play for the whole period to see what happens
Can you take another screenshot, showing the entire page so we can see the sort you are using?
Apologies - false alarm. I’d imported DVDs incorrectly, which was probably why the metadata was screwed up
