Sound level is low on analog out

Hi


First of all, thanks for the wonderfull product RasPlex.


That being said, I have a question. Is there any way to increase the sound on analog out? I have to up my amplifier to 75% to get a normal sound level.

bump, same issue on alot of vids. Always been like this from 0.3.0-9.9.18

Iv tried adding

In the audio section of advancedblabla.xml


can’t go above 0db still. affects about 75% of the vids I play. A side effect of maxing out the amp makes for boxy sound to a degree.

ac3downmixgain is not only for ac3. Caution i set it to 48 first damn near shot my eardrums.

it should be read-write.

edit: just noticed how long ago this was. sorry

edit: not working now for some reason.

edit: its working first line was missing the > character at the end it should be

Yeah I had similar problems, and the edits seem to have boosted my levels back to a usable volume. Cheers!

how did you get the rights to change it I keep getting a permission denied

Are you trying to edit the correct file:

/storage/.plexht/userdata/advancedsettings.xml

This file is writeable.

On a fresh install on 1.0.3 the advancedsettings.xml is not present, you need to create it, SSH into the RPi and enter the following.

 nano /storage/.plexht/userdata/advancedsettings.xml

Then add the following:

 <advancedsettings>
 <headroom>12</headroom>
 <ac3downmixgain>12.0</ac3downmixgain>

Then press CTRL and x, then press y, then restart your RPi.
