change default value for "volume amplification"

hi,
is it possible to change the default value for “volume amplification”? at the moment it is set to zero but i always raise it to 15-20. i wish to set the default level to 15.
i read from plex home theater forum that it can be done by changing the level of volume amplification in the guisettings.xml file.
but i don’t know where that file is located for rasplex. is it in the micro sd? if yes how can i access it and change it (if possible)?

in case i change the value am i correct to assume it only affect hdmi output, and not the Audio output device which for me is set to hifiberry digi?

thank you

This has been asked in the past, yes you can change it, but for the change to guisettings.xml to be applied you have to reboot, rebooting zeroes out the value you have changed. It is designed this way. Many of the Plex clients work this way, Rasplex is based on Plex HT which in turn is based on XBMC/Kodi, it is not Kodi. What works in Kodi doesn’t necessarily work in Rasplex.

Regards

PS - The location of the guisettings.xml file is /storage/.plexht/userdata/
