It has been a long time I visited plex, I had to remove plex from my server and have not yet reinstalled it.
But from 6 of september I’m overloaded with ■■■ emails on the email I only use for plex.
So I have changed my plex email address and blocked the old one.
Glad I use for most things an email only for one use so I can track where the leak was.
I’m affraid now it’s plex…

I have searched the forum already but did not find anything about being hacked?
I am re-using an answer post to a similar question a few weeks ago:
Our old forum software was compromised in July of 2015.
We had all passwords of folks who used the forum forced to be reset.
We sent out emails to all folks who ever used our forum software and were affected at time.
Your forum account has existed since 2014 and was sent the email at the time.

The data that were siphoned off during the attack can be obtained by anyone from several sources which host such looted data. So every now and then some spammers will have a go. It will cease eventually.
