Thanks! Here are the logs:

[Edit to add] The logs should include both playing the file directly, as well as choosing to transcode it to a lower bitrate which then shows the right resolution/aspect ratio.

Thanks for sharing this info. I will review it and get back to you as soon as possible.
@mrsamypnw Couldn’t repro this issue, and couldn’t find anything in the log that indicates an issue. This is looking like an issue with the Roku player and could be tied to the OS version you have. Although we have the same version, but the build number is different. Maybe try updating (depending on your location, you might not have them same build as me, but try checking anyway), and see if it fixes the issue.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Strange! No update available for the Roku, and last update was July 13 2024. Wonder if its some weird Roku/TV incompatibility - both are Hisense TVs.
Hi @mrsamypnw, sorry for responding late. I have been out due to illness.
I think this might be related to the TVs, yes. I am testing on a box, and it works fine there. So I think it is related to your TV.
I can help you report this issue to Roku, but I am not sure if they’ll resolve it anytime soon, or at all. You could also message them, to help you follow their responses better.
Let me know what works for you. Thanks.
