Specific shows not matching

I am trying to add a specific show, in a specific way, that aligns with IMDB. However, Plex will not recognize or match it.

I have Star Blazers, which matches just fine. This is the English dub of Space Battleship Yamato. I also have Space Battleship Yamato I-III, which is the original Japanese language series. The three Space Battleship Yamato series are tt0140644, tt0140645, and tt0140646 in IMDB. Plex matches series I just fine, but refuses to match II and III no matter how many ways I try.

Naming convention:
[Drive letter]:/TV Shows/Space Battleship Yamato {imdb-tt0140644}/Season 01/Space Battleship Yamato - S01E01 - SOS Earth!! Awaken, Space Battleship Yamato [file info].mkv
[Drive letter]:/TV Shows/Space Battleship Yamato II {imdb-tt0140645}/Season 01/Space Battleship Yamato II - S01E01 - [file info].mkv
[Drive letter]:/TV Shows/Space Battleship Yamato III {imdb-tt0140646}/Season 01/Space Battleship Yamato III - S01E01 - [file info].mkv

Supposedly Plex’s new matching system uses TMDB, TVDB, and IMDB. And supposedly, putting IMDB, TVDB, or TMDB tags in the folder/file name will “make sure” Plex matches the correct title.

Nonetheless, Plex is refusing to match Series II or III of SBY. This is incredibly frustrating. I could add series 2 and 3 as season 2 and 3 of SBY I, but that’s not accurate and it wouldn’t pull any episode data because IMDB shows the series as a single season (because it was).

I know Plex has issues with Anime, but I feel like if the series exists in IMDB, and my naming convention matches IMDB, there should be no issues getting Plex to match said show.

Use the TVDB or TMDB ID, not the IMDB ID.

TV Shows: TVDB or TMDB ID.
Movies: IMDB or TMDB ID.

I mean, ok. That’s pretty frustrating, though. I feel like, since TMDB is used for both, there’s no reason IMDB can’t also be used for both. The prioritization seems completely arbitrary from an outside perspective. I know, nothing you can do about that. Just vocalizing it because it’s the truth.
