I have a Fire Stick 4K Max and a TV that supports HDR/HDR10+.
Plex used to play everything without issue fine, but now certain 4K files play in a split/duplicate screen. This is even happening with files I played without issue using Plex a few weeks’ ago.
If I turn off HDR in the Fire stick settings, Plex then just plays the movie or episode with a black screen, so I can only hear the audio.
I’ve checked and I have the latest version of the Plex app on my Fire Stick that is available through the Amazon Appstore, which is 10.5.0.4996. I cannot see any settings relating to HDR in Plex itself.
I can’t seem to find a solution and it’s making Plex unusable. At this point, I don’t care about HDR, I just want to watch without this split screen error.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
