splitting archive to two machines with same login?

Hi all

I was wondering does anybody know if it is possible to run two machines with pms with the same plex login or do I have to create a second login?

My idea is to split my archive so that tv series is on one machine and movies is on another machine.

you can run multiple servers using the same user name.

It should work fine. If you use cloud sync though, don’t sync from both servers.

Just wondering why you think is better than either a) just having libraries (like you have to anyway) and/or b) having different drives for movies and TV Shows on the same server?
Are you worried about overloading the server trying to stream a movie and a tv show at the same time?

I don’t think it is particularly better it’s a matter of hard disk space.

you could always share the folder and mount it on the other computer. then just point the first box to the networked fold. i think that should work as well.
