Are there any plans to support sports metadata inside Plex, using something like thesportsdb.com, or is something out there that is easy to work with, and can retrieve various kind of metadata for sports on the Plex server.
I have found a Python wrapper that someone wrote back in 2016 that uses thesportdb.com, but it is not currently supported, and i have not being able to get it to work, and help is just not available.
I have a lot of sports in files, and would like to find a relatively easy way to get metadata for them ,like movies and shows, and built a nice sports library.
Plex doesn’t usually comment on their roadmap. There’s a feature suggestion to add an official agent to support TheSportsDb.com – though it appears there’s been rather few attention to it so far.
Do you know how I can go about asking Plex about this, and see if I can help in any way to promote this, as do maybe it can become part of official Plex.
It seems like the sportsdb.com has become quite good, and for us sports buffs, it would be good to have rich metadata, similar to movies, tv shows, etc.

I wonder if there is a way that I can contact someone in Plex and maybe see if there is anything I can do to support this endeavor. Do you know if there is some way to contact someone in Plex develoment?
