Hi, I’m a sports fan and have some sporting events I’d like to have load up in Plex. Looking around I found this one, but nothing native. Do you guys have any solutions for games? If not, we def need this natively built into Plex!
Would you mind sharing what specific types of sporting events you have in mind?
Many of those are listed as recurring shows – e.g. various wrestling, football, soccer leagues… – so you might already be able to obtain proper metadata for those.
Yup, all the major sports. MLB, College Football, College Basketball, NFL, NBA. I’m sure hockey fans would love NHL too, but I don’t need it. My favorite teams are the New York Yankees, Penn State University Football and Basketball (Men’s), Miami Dolphins, New York Knicks… I looked at TheSportsDB and didn’t see past history game’s there. There’s a bunch of old Penn State Basketball games I’m looking to get which I’m sure will be hard to find meta data on out there. Wondering if people found a solution for cases like that.
As for TheSportsDb – there’s already an existing suggestion asking for an option to get metadata from their repository (TheSportsDb agent).
There’s various sports series listed for which you should already be able to get proper metadata – e.g. NFL, MLB World Series, College Football, NBA Game Time… – although admittedly those seem to be widely incomplete
