Squashed playback of Recorded TV in Tizen preview

In one of the early beta’s I had issues with the occasional Live TV channel playing squashed - ie smaller than 4:3 on a 16:9 TV. This was subsequently fixed.

Now I am having a similar issue but with some recorded content playing back squashed:

The 4 movies that I have found to be problematic were recorded during January, February and May 2019 - so up to 20 months ago (long before the new preview app).

I don’t have this problem if I leave early access on the Tizen app, or with the XBox 5.2.1 preview or with Plex for Windows 1.20.

Changing the “Direct Play” and “Direct Stream” settings seems to make no difference.

Why is the “Play” button changed to “Resume” when a video has already been started but then offers “Resume” and “Start from the beginning” options on the next page?

In my opinion the options on page for the recorded TV show or Movie should just be “Play” (similar to the old app) which then takes you to the extra page to choose what you want to do, or the options on this page should be “Play” (“Start” might be better wording, and “Resume”.

The “Resume” option would then do away with the need for the extra page and be a nicer User Experience :wink:
