.SRT subtitle position {\an8}

Is the subtitle position supported in Plex?
I’ve some movies that use the {\anX} format, where X is the position on the screen, oriented like the numeric pad of a keyboard (so, for example, 8 is center top).

Main players, like VLC support it; so, a sentence like this:

{\an8}I’m a top subtitle

Is shown on top of the screen.
Curiously, Plex Web (app.plex.it) displays it correctly.

My LG TV Plex player, instead, shows the full sentence, with the starting code.

Is there a way to have Plex display the subtitles position correctly?

Thanks.

This is a control code from ASS subtitles. If you use it in SRT subs, it may work in some players, due to how their subtitle suport is coded.
However, it is not in the SRT spec, so don’t expect it to work everywhere.

I understand but, on Plex web, they’re supported.

Since it’s a code used more and more lately, I just ask for a bit of coherence among Plex players.

I can edit all my movies changing SRT to ASS, but it would be a pain (guess where?). :slight_smile:
