As haxy89 and dpremier89 said there is a bug in v1.12.
Everyone that said this is a Windows problem or wrong configuration should be ban!
Everything works fine before v1.12 with allowed networks setting!

Not really anything to āfixā. Plex Pass requires a connection by design.
What Iāve shown you is how to run during times, like now for me, when weather takes out internet. At least there is minimal (non-Plex Pass) usability
I noticed the same thing after upgrading to v1.12.0.4829. Iāve always had the network field populated and itās worked without issue. Once I upgraded to the latest release, it always redirected me to login so I think something definitely did change between v1.11.3.4803 (my current installation) and the latest release.
By the way my, last post (3/9 7:38am) was from way earlier⦠Not sure why itās only showing up now. Just ignore it since it repeats what Iāve already mentioned.
Iām not alone!
Iām not crazy!

As I have reported in other threads, I will so state here.
- I found the time today to dedicate to finding the root cause.
- I found the specific module in PMS causing the problem.
- It is a PMS 1.12.0 issue.
I will thank those who think people should be banned to kindly remember community guidelines else I will need to perform some moderation of my own.
Thanks for your participation, patience, and diligence.

When this will be fix!?
Still exists in the newest server!
It is not a bug.
It is as designed and implemented.
Nothing else to say.

Thanks for your help. In previous message you said: ā3. It is a PMS 1.12.0 issue.ā
Moving to Embyā¦
āIssueā is a general term.
Not many like it so itās an āissueā. It is working as Engineering intends it.

So from 1.12 your Engineering force user to create account on plex.tv and claim server otherwise I canāt go to server options and change it? So I canāt stay on 1.11 or disable internet connection in local network or move to Emby, right?
It began with PMS 1.1.0. PMS requires constant connection.
I do not know Emby. Even if I did, I am not at liberty to discuss it.

I donāt agree that it began with PMS 1.1.0, when I install 1.11.3.4803-c40bba82e (Docker) there is no problem, problem appears after this version
On the other hand you should inform users that from specific version their local servers need to be claim with plex.tv account
When installing the server, upon first connection, it has you sign in with Facebook, Google, or email account. Itās known as Federated Authentication.

which previously could be skipped and everything worked fine. This is the crux of the issue, plex has created a mandatory account scenario where it did not exist before.
If I may suggest, that if the plex decision going forward is that PMS will only work with a plex account, then this should be presented to the user at the installation and setup phase where the initial plex login is generated.
Allowing the server to be initially setup and go through the āwizardā without a plex account, and then only later change your mind is not only inconsistent, it is downright poor customer interaction.
In other words, you should not be able to setup the server at all without a plex account, otherwise you are wasting everyoneās time.
I have a lifetime plex pass, but decisions like this make me feel disgusted.

You dont know how installation of your software looks ;D, during installation you can skip creating an account and claim server by clicking on first screen on link in the right bottom⦠even on latest version
I have the same issue. After upgrading PMS from 10 to 12 lost the ability to access the server settings page. No matter is I am locally on the server or on my LOCAL network computer the server config page redirects to https://app.plex.tvā¦
I have verified that my IP range is in the HIDDED plex server config file.
PMS System: Ubuntu 16.04
Network Computer Windows 7 64bit Using Google Chrome
Network Topology 10.0.0.0/8
It is stuff like this that turns people off of PMS and back to kody/XBMC. I will NEVER have a plex account linked to my server EVER!
Exactly, from v1.12 they change something without informing usersā¦

How did you fix incorrect hidden ip range?

Of course i know it. Iām not allowed to tell you. If you can read, youāll see it and find it. I know a lot more too; none of which I can tell you.
Careful please of the implied tone?
How many have DNS Rebinding protection enabled in your local modem/routers?
Is there an entry to allow *.plex.direct as a private network ?
