How many have DNS Rebinding protection enabled in your local modem/routers?
Is there an entry to allow *.plex.direct as a private network ?
Not me. Nothing was change in my router config between v1.11 and v1.12 pms. v1.11 works as expected, bug occurs on 1.12
Engineering is big on forcing encryption and security. all of that requires a constant connection to resolve *.plex.direct which is they other thing they want⊠âalways connectedâ.

Same, I have not changed anything other than upgrading PMS. The screen it is redirecting to would usually have a lnk to âContinue Without Plex Accountâ or something similar but it is not present.

It was solved in the latest version, check this thread
This may be fixed with unclaimed servers, but its broken on signed in ones. If my IP is in the allowed network list without auth it should not be forced.
Update: Even after logging out its not working. Only seems to work with my local subnet /24, though I canât be sure since i just entered the servers IP in the servers browser. Need to see if Apple TV can at least connect without internet access. However I have two servers one at home and one in a DC. Still no change for external stuff. The list allowed networks used to work before and I could specify a public IP.
Iâm able to load the PMS web page without logging in when using incognito mode on Chrome. My main browser is Firefox. So I thought maybe itâs not working because of cookies saved with your preferred web browser. Sure enough, after I deleted the cookie tied to {local-ip}:32400 in Firefox, I was able to connect to the PMS without logging in.
so still can not gain access to plex running on the same box without logging inâŠ
read all other pages linked in here stating âsolvedâ (it was never solved)
whitelisted everything
deleted all cookies
disabled secure connections
Followed all suggestions above
They probably reintroduced the issue in later version because it seems they are moving to a forced login model, but I do know it works fine in version 1.13.9.5456 because that is what I run and can bypass login no problem.
There doesnât appear to be any way to manage those settings on a QNAP. As a result, I canât actually log into my own server to manage it without it phoning home and doing some auth dance with servers outside my network.
I dug in and found the config file on the NAS. I deleted all the âOnlineâ bits and also blocked the NAS at the firewall from contact home. It seems to have worked.
