The Home Videos library icon that you can see when you setup a new library in the website is not displayed on any device with Plex. It always displays the Movies library icon (movie film icon or movie clapper).
See attached screenshots of the iOS app, Roku channel (displays this way on all 4 of my Roku's (two Roku XD 2050X, Roku 2 XD 3050X, and Roku 3 4200XB) and the Plex website.
I have attached a screenshot of the Plex website add library screen that displays it correctly (I assume) as a video camera icon.
I would like to actually to see the video camera icon that is on the new library screen on the website used everywhere in Plex.
I would also like to ensure that all icons for the other libraries are the same across the board.
Yup, I totally agree, that would be even better. I know that is a request somewhere as well, so I went the 2nd best for now I guess. Right now how the icons are, having home videos and movies the same just causes confusion. It gets worse when you have added your own custom libraries for things like Podcasts then you potentially have 3 icons that look the same and the only way to know which is which is to look at the title text.
More frustrating is the fact that on the Roku, it truncates the text characters so two of my libraries (My Music, and My Music Video's) show as the same thing "My Music" until I actually move focus to them and see the rest (My Music Video's) in the pop out cloud. Yes, their icon differs, but still... frustrating. I perfect example of where a custom/personal icon would show visually which is which.
[Hindsight... I'm not a home to investigate this at the moment, but I think both the Plex Roku Client and the Plex RARFlix client do this (I use them both)]
