Start over with new Plex Beta - i.e clear adapted storage database

OK I have installed the new beta on my Shield TV; and successfully applied to new option to move my Plex database over to adapted ‘internal’ storage, and it works! (so far, anyway)

But… Due to some weird behavior (and moving some of my media folders around) I’d like to simply clear my Plex database on the Shield and re-scan my media folders into Plex (i.e. start over with Plex and the new beta). I tried this by going into the Apps control panel and then clearing storage and cache for both Plex server and client. That worked, I thought, since then by running Plex it started up as a new install and went through the start-up process. However, when it got done it began showing all of the media I had in the database originally!

I’m guessing this happened because the Plex database was now out on my adapted storage medium from before and it didn’t get ‘cleared’ when I cleared the app memory and cache. So my question is: Now that I did move the Plex database out to adapted storage, how can I clear that out also so that I can do a complete start-over with my Shield Plex app? And NO, I don’t want to completely factory-reset my Shield box if at all possible!!

Thanks in advance.

This forum is for the client beta only.

Factory reset your shield box.

Actually, this is the beta forum for those that are testing the new beta which includes moving the database on the Shield that we were all directed to via e-mail from Plex. If there is a different beta forum then it’s Plex that needs to direct it’s beta testers there.

EDIT: Also, this appears to be done by the client. At the least it’s done via the client UI settings.

You must be confused. Read the title. “Android TV Beta”

This refers to the CLIENT beta specifically. It doesn’t matter how you access the PMS beta, it’s not related.

There’s no beta section for the SHIELD specific server. This is the closest section you have: https://forums.plex.tv/categories/nvidia-shield

No, I’m not confused. This is were PLEX said to post (I don’t remember getting a e-mail from someone named MediaHorder) and PMS is ON the Shield which is Android TV.

It’s says “Android TV beta” it doesn’t say client only. And since the Shield has both the client and the server (pre-installed) on it, it still makes it the right place. And as I already stated, this is done on the client side anyway. It may be migrating the PMS data, but done by the client.

According to @Tinwarble link, you have to sign up for the Plex Client Beta and since the move can only be done and accessed via the “Client GUI” on the android nvidia shield TV, this is the correct forum.
Two issues with the move. Some videos were not available for playback so rescaning library files, optimizing database, empty trash, and clean bundles seems to have solved that. Then, calculating the adopted storage to see how much space is used never ends and does not complete. Rebooted the shield and it took 45 min to calculate.
