Starting a stream on Plex crashes home network

Server Version#: 4.116.1
Player Version#: 8.30
Router: 2x Linksys Velop MX4200 in wireless mesh (server is connected via ethernet, both base stations are up to date)
Server: 2018 Mac mini running macOS Sonoma 14.3:

* 16GB RAM
* 128GB internal SSD, 12TB Seagate Ironwolf media drive (installed in a OWC Mercury Elite Pro Quad)

Hello all, so for the last few weeks I’ve noticed that when I lay down to watch TV at night on my 2nd Gen AppleTV 4K, content will load and then a minute or two after, my home network will crash. All devices go offline until the router comes back online, then everything works fine for a long time, usually until the next day.

Looking around, I have seen a few suggestions. One was that my router is running out of power or that it cannot handle the switching requirements. In an effort to test this, I removed the USB drive that I had connected to the router to free up the power budget with no improvement. I have not tested the switch functionality, but I could switch ports and swap the parent and child base stations. All 3 RJ45 ports on the main base station work and my Mac never loses connection until I start watching Plex. Regular network traffic still works.

Others have said to manually set your port forwarding settings, but my router supports UPNP and has always worked until recently. I could try disabling UPNP and enabling it again. I have also set my DNS settings off of Frontiers and am now using 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, and 9.9.9.9. (no change)

I found another forum post that had me clear my server cashes and disable intro/credit detection as that may be throwing errors, building up, and causing the crash. I also increased the size limit of my Plex database to 1 gigabyte, up from 40MB.

Since this issue seems rather time based in order to replicate it, it’s not possible to know if these changes have helped. I know others are running into this issue, but I need solutions. My network can’t be going offline like this.
