Status of the TV Show and number of Seasons / Episodes

Hello All,

 

I would suggest a new feature for PMS with the TV Show.

 

It would be great if we could see the number of season and the state of the show (Ended or Continuing).

 

When we go into the show we display 2 more lines that gives us the status and number of seasons. (see the screenshot Accueil_Serie.jpg).

 

When we go into the season, there is a line above who we can see the number of episodes in the season. (see the screenshot Accueil_Saison.jpg).

 

I currently uses this site for information.

For example FRINGE: http://www.tvshowtime.com/show/82066

We can see in "Show Details" that the status is Ended and the show have 5 seasons.

 

For example HOMELAND: http://www.tvshowtime.com/show/247897

We can see in "Show Details" that the status is Continuing and for the moment the show have 3 seasons.

 

That would be cool if you can put this infos on the Plex Web or App ;)

Plex uses thetvdb.com to get metadata not tvshowtime.com

however after further review of the site.. it appears similar information is available on thetvdb.com, so it may be plausible to get this info.

While not a “Plex” solution, you can install and run Sonarr.

It will read your plex TV folder and give you that info as well as let you know which episodes you’re missing as well as any upcoming ones.

Again, not a perfect solution but once installed it is a great app to look at your TV content, outside of Plex
