Status Update On New Library

any possibilities that we can find out what’s going on with the new library? many of us have been waiting for absolute order scraping for anime collections and other foreign content. I keep hearing about it, but I can’t really find any actual details about it, even in the github repo changelog. this is the last that i’ve really seen mentioned about it in the forums:

the last statement was 4 months ago. going back to that time period in the github commit comments, there's nothing mentioned of the new library at all.
you guys have really made an awesome program and it's changed the way i watch my media (i even canceled my cable tv). let us know what's going on and how we can help!

development code is not pushed to the public github repo till said version is released. i can assure you that plex/9 is coming along at a good pace and the new library is what elan is spending most of his time on now, it is coming, and its not all that far off.

The Plex/Nine series development is not posted on Github. There has been quite a bit of work on it, and it's coming along nicely :) We'll definitely be detailing it and soliciting help testing it in the not too distant future.

So I am assuming that the new library system is intended to be deployed in 0.9
Are there any spoilers that you can give (other than the inclusion of absolute ordering, which has already been addressed as an included feature) that will be in the new library system/plex 0.9?

yes its is for plex .9. the list of feature requests for the new library is in the second post here: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?/topic/2471-feature-requests-related-to-library-mode/ . I think that the new library is being developed with a strong easily extensible architecture and that a great many things on that list will eventually be possible.

Please note that we’re not promising to support every feature in that list, those are just the ones that’ve been requested so far
