I see that we can’t choose that language and the subtile before starting the playback of a movie or a tv show…
For now we have to start the vidéo, then pause it, then make our choices and then résume playback.
Is it something that is going to stay like this ?
You can set it on your preference what languages will be the default used for your profile. That would freaking suck if it has to ask you what languages you want everytime you play something.
Yes, but i’m using the interface in french and i watch movie in english, as you can do in the regular Plex.
It would bé very sad to lost this possibility for non english users!
I don’t know what you’re talking about. Plex has never asked for you to choose a language before it plays.
That’s two separate options.
You can configure the experience preview app‘s user interface language. That’s independent from your account audio/subtitle language preferences.
IIRC plex have mentioned in another post that they’ll still expand the movie detail pages.
In the production apps you can select the tracks for different elements on the preplay view. As of now the preview is relying on library defaults, and if you want to change for a specific item you have to play the item and then access the submenu.
I see. Hopefully, they add that dropdown option. I don’t use it myself but I can see how people who are used to switching from there would find the change a hassle.

Yes all Plex’s users are not english native and as much we use Plex in our own langage , we love to watch movies in the original one or having the choice to do so
It’s also nice for selecting a commentary track or similar. Very annoying to have to start a movie, switch tracks, then rewind back to the start.
Any update on this ?
It is a basic option that non american / english of Plex customers are using.
