So after upgrading to 1.14.0.5470, all the issues I was having are gone… looks like the failed recording message is still there when using live tv after you tune out the channel but it does not seem to affect future scheduled recordings for the channel…
Well I have not had any problems with failed or incomplete recordings until tonight. We were watching live TV on one channel (fox) and survivor was supposed to record on (CBS) I logged in a made sure it was recording. After the episode should have been done I signed in again and it said it was still recording (12 minutes after it should have ended). I then pulled up the HDHR interface and it was only tuned to the fox channel. After hitting stop on the live TV stream the HDHR immediately tuned to CBS and the recording ended in Plex. With only a couple second long clip if what is currently playing on CBS
Now I have and angry wife since this was the season finale! Anyone else have similar problems?
Logs are attached
you did not attach the logs
Here is another try,. Trying to do this from my phone as I am away from my computer right now.
There seems to be a problem with the number of free tuners
How many tuners are there ?
What i can see
17:09:18 (oldest log entry) up to 21:13:28 livetv on the shield fir channel 55.1
18:58:00 attempt to start recording for 2 hours + 4 minutes of Survivor E14 on channel 3.1 - it logged it was waiting for a tuner and zero available !
20:58:00 attempt to start recording of Survivor E15 on channel 3.1.
It also logged it was waiting for a tuner
When you killed the livetv session at 21:13:28 a tuner was freed
It is as if it thought there was only 1 tuner and it was busy with livetv
I have one HDHR connect. One of it’s tuners was infact being used for the live TV session on 55.1. but the other Turner was free (verified on the HDHR web interface before killing the live stream).
The status of the server Durning the time it should have been recording on 3.1 looked normal and it said it was recording.
I thought if a recording conflicted with a live TV stream it would warn and take over the tuner anyway?
Thanks for looking at this!
The period covered by the logs only has mentions of http://192.168.2.131:5004/auto/v3.1
You could get download of the Plex Media Server database and i will see what other tuners exist and state
Settings / Server / Troubleshooting / Download database
Please upload to dropbox etc and send me link by Private Message
