Hey, I’ve tested the new 1.19 Apple TV beta and if I watch HEVC content, it still transcodes to x264.
Do I Have to change some settings?
Yup same problem here.
Looked around but didn’t spot any settings.

I believe the Apple TV app is capable but the tvOS profile on the server is not set up to do it yet… there are instructions in the other discussion on how to change the required files.
Plain stupid to update Apple Tv client for HEVC support but not PMS 
I’ve made some more tests and it seems that only m4v (mp4) container work with HEVC without transcoding right now.

It should´n need to transcode just remux
Right m4v and mp4 work fine with direct play but an mkv container with the same video transcodes.
I tested with HEVC in Mp4 container and it didn’t work
