Sick and tired of plex changing my posters etc!
My library is HUGE, I don’t have the ability to lock individual movies and tv seasons down.
How can I stop this horrid behavior?
I let it do the initial scan, I like most, I go in and correct bad art. Then sooner or later it replaces good or just familiar cover art with something else less desirable.
If you view the XML you should and see <Field locked="1" name="thumb"/> after you manually change a poster and it still happens then we need server logs after it happens
This is on a title by title basis right? What I want is them to stop changing as time goes on. I can’t make this change for each one, it’s too much data.
This didn’t used to be a problem
Check a title’s XML to see if it shows as locked take note of it . if it changes then get the logs.
To be clear I not saying i don’t believe you but I have hundred of posters I have changed over the years and I have never seen it happen.
We are not changing posters that are locked intentionally. manually changed posters are locked and afaik should be saved on server even if we get a take down notice.
The devs won’t be able to fix something if they can’t reproduce it. or see it happen in logs.
I think i may be not describing it well.
Ones I have locked are static and ok, that’s not an issue.
What I’m wanting is the unlocked ones to stop changing after the initial scan, like once it’s matched the first time to not update the poster without me having to lock each movie out of over 1000.
Is this not possible, I don’t think it’s a bug, it’s the way it works and I need to be able to turn it off (or bulk lock everything currently on my server)
What’s this about a take down notice? Is this really something we should be worried about? I’ve been relying on this for over a decade.
