My movie art has been changed

Server Version#:1.19.4.2935
Player Version#:8.1.218135 (nVIDIA Shield TV)

When I opened my movie library this morning, I noticed that the movie art for many of the movies has been changed. In some cases, I now have a thumbnail. The TV library does not appear to have been affected. I save my movie art selections, but never see a lock symbol similar to that in the data window. What can cause this change? Thank you.

First, I realize that I can fix all of the metadata myself, but going through more than 600 movies will take quite a bit of time. I was seeking to understand what might have caused this problem because I had not interacted with these files for a few days. Second, when I look at the movie art section on my Mac mini, I see a check mark on the selected movie art, but not the lock symbol.

You found the right area. At one time, I thought I could edit the movie data, pick a poster, and then save all of it with one click on the save button located on the movie-data page. Later, I discovered that the two “save” buttons work independently, so I had to go through all the posters again. Because of that mistake as well as moving my files to a new location twice, I have had to play with the posters quite a bit. If the posters are all that vulnerable, it’s not worth my time to keep fixing them. Thanks for letting me know about the maintenance issue.

It’s interesting that you have suggested this approach because on June 12, 2020, one or more .jpg files were added to most of the movies stored on my NAS. Hopefully, changing those .jpg files will fix the problem forever. Thanks.
