For TV shows that have more than 12 seasons Plex has begun hiding the 13 season and beyond under “See All” text (ie. not a button) at the top of the list of seasons.
This has begun frustrating family members watching these shows. Particularly The Simpsons where going back and watching random episodes is a very common thing. The fact that the text you touch to show all the seasons is at the top is another point of frustration (especially on a phone where the user has scrolled down multiple rows to only find the season they want isn’t there).
It appears this was done to make accessing cast photos and recommended content easier to get to.
I’d like to request doing away with hiding seasons. Access to seasons of content should be more important than related content. This is impacting very few shows and presumably is someone has stored that many seasons of one show that content is important to them.
If it must stay the way it is could a better method be found. Specifically:
- instead of bringing the user to a new screen, that the list simply be expanded in-line.
- the text to expand be switched to a button at the end of the truncated list of seasons. Ideally instead of the 12th season poster, there be a blurred version of the series artwork with a + in the centre to expand the list to show all seasons.
- On tablets something has to be done about the 12 season cut off because you end up with two rows of five seasons and one row of two.
