Yes, this is true. However, that means they are able to switch between managed accounts, ones that have different restriction levels – which was the whole point of my original post.
Hence my comment about not using managed users.
I may still go that route (not using managed users) if the “automatic login & PIN” thing doesn’t work out for whatever reason. However, I will say creating separate accounts for children in your home seems like an inelegant solution to this issue. I do appreciate your suggestion.

I don’t find it necessary to use PINs for the youngest users. They’re able to open Plex and find their name easily. Grandma doesn’t need special instructions, either.
I also like using a single shared “PG” user. Kids often watch things together, anyway.
(Older kids and adults get separate accounts.)
Thanks for asking. As the Admin user, it would be more convenient for me to set up managed accounts on the server itself and tie those accounts to either IP addresses (I use static IP addresses for the devices in my home) or mac addresses.
