Server Version#: 1.32.2.7100
Player Version#: app.plex.tv 4.100.1
plexamp version#: 4.7.4
I’m trying to find the “stop playback” button in the web (app.plex.tv or 192.168.1.x:32400/web) version dashboard. I see my stream and allegedly if I hover over my or someone’s name, I will see a “stop playback” button. But I don’t. Never have in 3 years of using Plex. Plex pass lifetime user for those 3 years. Any ideas? Never needed it in the past, but now I have need.
Thanks. Scott.
P.S. Raspberry Pi OS for server and Windows 11 PC and I’ve tried seeing the button on Chrome, Firefox and Edge. No joy. (edited to add those details).
Plexamp is not streaming. What it does is downloading the track in full (and in advance). This should be reflected in the bandwidth graph on the same page.
Try playing a video. You should be able to stop this playback.
Many thanks for the info. Both of the replies are exactly correct. I rarely watch videos on Plex, it’s a music thing for me. I can stop a movie playback as expected. I had no idea that plex amp downloaded the songs in full and were not streaming bits at a time.
Forums are full of good info. Thanks again,
Scott.
