Go to status|now playing to stop playback of user with paused tv show for 12 hours and receive the stop this item menu but the stop button does nothing. Only the cancel button works. The only way I can get it to stop is to have the user login and stop the tv show themself. Is this broken in this release?
What players is your friend using. do you know if they are casting or not?
( I use this all the time without issue and have many times with 1.11.0.4666)
I have this issue for a user that routinely falls asleep watching via Chrome on her Mac… or she closes the lid, I’m not sure. Either way, it stays in that state all day until she remembers and closes the program.
I would hope that cutting from the server side would be an absolute, and not require any communication back from the client to affirm.
The user is using Roku to connect and watch tv shows on the PMS box. I have just recently experienced this issue the first time since updating to v. 4666.
I have the same issue I have a Roku user i can not disconnect and has a habit of leaving the video idle and or paused for hours on version 1.11.2.4772… i noticed this in the last version as well on my mac plex server. I need this fixed just to not have connections or resources tied up.
Seems broken for Rokus for sure. I’ve had one remote Roku paused for 2 days now, and another paused for about 18 hours. Don’t know if its the Roku app or the server misbehaving, but we can’t use the handy “Stop playback” button.
You can stop the paused playback by stopping and restarting the server, if it becomes too annoying to bear. I’m using server Version 1.11.3.4793, if any one out there is looking into it. I would assume the Rokus have autoupdated the plax app to the current version.
