Stop Sidebar From Hiding

Server Version#: 1.14.0.5470
Player Version#: Not applicable
All of a sudden the sidebar hides itself so quickly and the controls are so close to the edge that it takes me more than a few trys to scan my library files and it’s VERY frustrating. A week ago the sidebar was hidden at all and I’m at a loss.
Ideas?

Which web browser are you using?
Which web browser add-ons have you installed/activated?
Are you using the local or the hosted web app? https://support.plex.tv/articles/200288666-opening-plex-web-app/

Chrome 71.0
I just disabled all my extensions and the problem still persists.
I just checked and the problem is most pronounced on my local app and not as bad on plex.tv

Could you provide a bigger screenshot?
I noticed a fragment of an unknown icon right at the top, which might have gotten inserted by some kind of browser add-on or maybe an anti virus software.

That’s the icon for Adguard. I chose to put it in that corner. I’ve always had it.

Please disable it for plex.tv
You won’t need it and it may interfere with the normal operation of the web app.

OK I disabled it…nothing has changed.

Have you checked your anti virus software?

It’s windows defender and never causes issues with anything.

The side bar is not designed to hide at all. It is not a built in function of the web app. Does it do that in other browsers?

I only use chrome. As soon as my cursor moves away from the sidebar it “closes” and all I see are icons like in the screenshot.

Can you please try a different browser and check if it displays correctly there.

You could also test in an incognito window of Chrome and check if you see a difference.

OK, this might be something. Whenever I double click my Plex icon in the taskbar it asks me to log in like it’s the web app or something. Never, ever used to behave like this.
Regardless the sidbar hides in both the web app and my desktop app. I just downloaded the new update with high hopes bit no change.

Does it do the same thing in a Chrome incognito window?

Actually NO!! It’s perfect in that mode…now what?

Anything??

Now on top of everything else Plex won’t allow playback of my VERY large 4K HDR files at all. Not using Nvidia Shield TV or Roku Ultra. What could be causing these issues suddenly?
Windows update?
Should I just try to reinstall Plex from scratch?

That means something in your normal chrome configuration or an extension is causing issues with that menu. possibly a console log from chrome might reveal what it is

How do I go about accessing/diagnosing a problem. I Googled how to open a console log but still can’t friggin’ figure it out.

UPDATE:
These are the only warnings when I open what I think is the proper console.
