Will there ever be an option in Plex to store things in the media folder .bif posters and metadata This would help a lot

Could you be more specific as to what you want to add? I suppose you refer to adding more “local media assets” alongside your videos for Plex to pick them up (as it already does for posters, backdrops etc.).

Actually I think he is talking about an option like Emby has to place downloaded artwork and metadata stored in an NFO file and the “bif” files generated for FF/RW alongside the media files themselves.
