I bought a Chromecast Ultra so I can stream my HEVC file directly (without transcoding).
I’ve watched some HEVC / 5.1 AAC file smoothly for few days, great !
But since yesterday the same files plays with a lot a stuttering / buffering.
I found out too late that Google removed support to 5.1 AAC audio codec, so now my Plex Server transcode AAC to AC3.
But why it worked at some point and not anymore ?
Also, I found it strange that just audio transcode make my NAS CPU suffer that much, do you ?
I’ve tried to revert the PMS version to an earlier version (june), but didn’t solve the issue.
Any ideas ?
