Strange behavior with hybrid files

I’m experiencing strange behavior with DV-HDR+ hybrid files. When I play a movie, it starts in DV format. If I stop the movie and let it continue, it continues playing in HDR+ format. Why? I want to play it in DV. HDR+ is only a fallback.

You may want to clarify your wording here, as written this post makes no sense. “HDR+” is not an HDR format. Hybrid files typically contain an HDR10 base layer with a DV P8 dynamic metadata layer included that the player will use if supported.

Some hybrid files contain a DV P8 layer, an HDR10 base layer and an HDR10+ layer, the latter of which is also a dynamic metadata HDR format separate from HDR10 that functions similarly to DV.

If you’re saying that your player is switching between DV and HDR10+, that’s a very different issue than saying that your player is reverting to using a fallback HDR10 base layer, as HDR10+ is not a fallback and is a competing dynamic metatdata standard.
