Strange issues with Meta-Agents (e.g. OFDB)

Hi guys,

I’ve already startet a thread in the german part of the forum regarding the OFDB-Plugin (https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/316663/ofdb-plugin-ohne-funktion#latest), but with further testing I´ve come to the conclusion that it seems to be a problem within the Plex Server itself.

I own a Synology DS418play with the newest iteration of Plex installed and want to use the OFDB-Plugin to get german genres and content ratings. Unfortunately I can’t get is to work with the 64-bit version of Plex. 32-bit version works like a charm, but doesn’t offer hardware-transcoding. In the plugin’s log there are these two errors (complete log is attached to my post):

**2018-04-14 14:47:26,228 (7f1b84c6b700) : CRITICAL (agentkit:1078) - Exception in the update function of agent named ‘OFDB’, called with guid ‘com.plexapp.agents.imdb://tt2283362?lang=de’ (most recent call last)

URLError: urlopen error [SSL: SSLV3_ALERT_BAD_RECORD_MAC] sslv3 alert bad record mac (_ssl.c:1754)**

Did a complete reinstall of DSM and Plex a few days ago, problem still persists.

Fun fact: Movies I’ve once matched with the 32-bit server continue to receive the correct metadata from OFDB, even when I perform a plexdance.

Maybe I can find someone who can figure it out.

Set up a XPEnology-installation today (virtual DS3615xs) to see if it’s really related to the 64-bit version. To my surprise the plugin works without a problem. Settings are absolutely identical to my DS418play. Could it still be the plugins fault or is something wrong with my NAS?

I don’t use a custom certificate. Tried to reinstall everything a dozens of times too, but no luck

As I said in my first post I even did a complete reset of the NAS and set up everything from scratch. Even with default settings I can’t get it to work properly.

Only solution to get the metadata from OFDB is to install the 32-bit version on my NAS.

FYI: After I updated Plex to the latest Beta-version, which was released yestersay, the Plugin has finally started to work
