Stretched picture after fast-forward/rewind

Server Version#: 1.28.0.5999
Player Version#: 5.44.3
Platform Version#: 2.6.0-2219.0013
Chipset: MTK-5695

This started happening sometime in the last 2 weeks.
Happens only on videos encoded with resolution different than strict 16:9 AR, for example 1920:960 where the player adds top and bottom black bars.

Playback starts normal as expected:

After video fast-forward/rewind picture is vertically stretched to 16:9 AR behind the black bars:

If you stop and restart playback everything is back to normal…

Not sure if this is a Plex issue or it is caused by the recent Vizio OLED and P series Firmware update which does include “Improved letterbox performance” (whatever that means) in the release notes.

This bug doesn’t occur with other streaming services (Amazon, Netflix, etc.) and playing the same file from USB flash drive. Casting to built-in Chromecast also works fine.

Resetting TV/Plex app doesn’t help.

Anybody else can confirm this?

Problem fixed with the recent Vizio TV firmware update…
