Reaching out in hopes someone can help. I’m having trouble accessing my server outside my home network. I pay my ISP extra for a static IP and have ensured through them that no ports are being blocked, and for a time this was working fine until recently. Now, I cannot access using the Plex app on my mobile device, nor using the web address https://myIP:*31500/web/index.html#! when I’m at work. Both of these worked fine using this method and I had HD quality. As far as I’m aware, nothing has changed on my end. I haven’t updated anything in my router settings, and I’ve contacted my ISP and they’re firm that nothing has changed and I shouldn’t be having any issues. I went in to the router to see if something had somehow changed but everything still looks that same. Currently I have 31000-33000 forwarded to the internal IP for my laptop, which is where the server is run from. I also have UPnP turned on. I don’t have static setup for my laptop but I never have, and as I mentioned, with the aforementioned router settings it worked fine for a long time. I was a little puzzled recently because upon a refresh in the remote settings for the server, it would say “FULLY AVAILABLE” and then red X out within a second or two, so I thought something was awry. I reset my whole network from the modem through all my devices, confirmed the new IPs for the port forwarding all matched, and now it remains saying “FULLY AVAILABLE”, but I still can’t connect. Here’s a curveball to this whole thing too…two people I share my library with to their own plex usernames, they’re able to access it just fine using (I’m assuming) a native TV app. So there’s some funny business cause it’s obviously able to be accessed, I’m just struggling with all my personal devices. I’m wondering if there’s some kind of recent secure connection change that’s happened where these older TV apps are skirting around that security issue but my newer device and web browser are getting hung up…?
Any help greatly appreciated.
